Teens Fit for Life:
Many teenagers have seen a decrease in their activity level as they get into High School age. Teen Fitness has become a major issue in our society and one that we are so excited to be working to help improve! Increased time sitting at desks, a social life revolving more around cell phones and computers, and a life where we don’t run around and play outside anymore causes teens to lose coordination, health and fitness quickly.
We have developed a program designed for teens to stay active after they have moved on from sports or the active life of a child. This program teaches Teens how to make healthy food choices, how to exercise and builds teamwork and leadership skills at the same time. We create a coed-team environment that is VERY helpful to social skill development and confidence. We have an amazing team of patient and supportive coaches ready to help your teen find happiness in exercise with us!
Teens For Performance:
Some of our Teens are very advanced athletes. We have created a class for them to thrive and build skills that will not be taught in school or sport lifting. Our Teens advance WAY beyond other athletes in their sports due to the development our program can provide, under Division-1 athlete coach and top CrossFit athlete Maria Dyas Binek. We will teach proper weightlifting mechanics and only advance kids at the appropriate speed to ensure results without risk of injury.
These teens often will have opportunities to compete in the sport of CrossFit as well, but we encourage them to pursue their school sports as a priority. We work with families, parents and teens to help reduce overuse from playing sports year round, build rehab programs and nutritional coaching. This allows these student-athletes to have a powerful arsenal of training that they always enjoy due to the fun team / group atmosphere! Teen Fitness will continue to be a major piece of the puzzle at Friendship.
